Abstract

Ultra High Performance Concrete which is one of the latest advances in concrete technology, has excellent properties as high compressive and tensile strength, durability, ductility and low water to cement ratio. UHPC formulation consist of water, silica fume, steel fibers, cement, fine sand, superplasticizer, and ground quartz, which has been made using local. In this study, three specimens using UHPC have been made in laboratory and have been tested under shear four-point loading in the laboratory of Tabriz University. The main purpose of this study is to evaluate the shear behavior of beams, obtain the maximum experimental shear strength and to compare with the theorical ones. The maximum ductility of beams which are measured based on the displacement of beams’ mid span, obtained about 11 mm. Based on results, the average ratio of experimental shear to theorical ones based on RILEM TC162-TDF and Australian codes are about 2.9 and 3.9, respectively.
