Abstract

Steel-concrete-steel sandwich panels are composed of two thin steel face plates and a thick concrete layer as core.
To provide external steel faces connection to concrete layer is used types of shear connectors.
This paper is focused on the interlayer shear behavior of the SCS sandwiches with high strength stud bolt shear connectors.
In order to investigate the effect of the geometric parameters on the shear behavior, push-out test under progressive loading is conducted. Variable Geometric parameters are included in thickness of the concrete core, steel plates thickness and diameter of the stud bolt.
For this purpose, exprimental samples prepared and investigated
According to achieved results, the assessment of the ductility, failure modes, and ultimate shear strength is performed. Moreover, two relations are proposed for shear strength and load-slip behavior of stud bolt shear connectors. These formulas are compared with those of the earlier researches on the Bi-steel shear connectors.
